TONY WOOD, CEO

Tony is one of the UK’s leading television professionals, responsible for more than 5000 hours of programmes. His work has topped the audience ratings on their networks, sold globally and won more than 100 awards. A former Head of Continuing Series for ITV network, Tony has gone on to produce the UK’s leading soap opera Coronation Street and as Creative Director of Lime Pictures, he executive produced Hollyoaks and co-created the ground breaking reality drama series The Only Way is Essex - the most talked about show in Britain. Tony was the driving force behind Nickelodeon’s global children’s phenomenon House of Anubis and he co-developed and executive produced Channel 4’s multi-award winning comedy success, Fresh Meat.

RICHARD TULK-HART, CEO

Richard joined Buccaneer as co-CEO in January 2020.

Previously, Richard was Managing Director of International Distribution, Formats and Co-Productions at A+E Networks. Prior to A+E Networks, Richard held senior industry leadership roles with Miramax, where he was Senior Vice President and Head of International, and Fremantle where he was Vice President of Sales for EMEA. Richard also held the role of Vice President of Sales and Distribution at IMG Media.

JO EVANS, HEAD OF PRODUCTION

Prior to joining Buccaneer, Jo was the Production Executive at Tiger Aspect Drama and Fifty Fathoms, working across a number of High End television dramas for different broadcasters, including ‘Domina’, ‘Peaky Blinders’ and ‘The A Word’.

Prior to this her freelance Production Manager and Line Producer credits include ‘Hatton Garden’ for ITV Studios, ‘Rellik’ (New Pictures) and ‘Dr Foster’ (Drama Republic) for BBC One. 

Before making the move into production she worked as a literary agent and assistant agent for 10 years.

Anna Burns, EXECUTIVE Producer

As Creative Executive at Blueprint Pictures, Anna worked across a slate of feature films that included Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and The Riot Club

Since joining Buccaneer in 2017, Anna has been developing a slate of both TV and film projects with companies including HBO Max, Film4, Participant and Paramount+, as well as Executive Producing Whitstable Pearl for Acorn.

MOREYBA BIDESSIE, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Moreyba joined Buccaneer from A+E Networks in July 2021. At A+E, Moreyba was Vice President of International Scripted Development, developing the scripted acquisitions strategy to help build A+E Networks’ drama proposition across the business. She was an Executive Producer on A+E’s first official co-production Miss Scarlet & The Duke, Near-Fy drama, Next of Kin and contemporary spy thriller Red Election

Previously at Sky Vision, Moreyba helped develop the company’s global scripted acquisitions strategy across all businesses and worked closely with both International and UK based producers. Prior to Sky, Moreyba served as Global Acquisition Manager at Fox International Channels / FNG and was responsible for the acquisitions of four Fox channel brands in Sub-Saharan Africa and the European lifestyle brand 24Kitchen.

KATIE BARRETT, SCRIPT EDITOR

Katie joined Buccaneer in 2013 as Executive Coordinator, managing the diaries and working as in-house Production Coordinator across all shows including Marcella series 1, 2 and 3. 

Prior to joining Buccaneer, Katie worked for Company Pictures as a Production Secretary and Coordinator across shows including SkinsGeorge Gently, The Shadow Line, London Irish, Wild at Heart and The White Queen

Katie is now working as a Development Assistant across the drama slate and script editing Irvine Welsh’s Crime for Britbox.

tom woffenden, executive assistant

Tom joined Buccaneer Media in April 2020. Tom previously worked at Eleventh Hour Films as a producer and director’s assistant, and then an in-house production coordinator on their 8-part series Alex Rider. He has also worked in development for producers Roger Corman & Julie Corman at New World Pictures in Los Angeles.

Before moving into drama, Tom worked in reality TV where his credits include Gogglebox, Tattoo Fixers and Big Brother. He has also written sketch comedy for the BBC, and in 2019 produced a three week run of Sam Steiner’s play Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons at The Barons Court Theatre.

PAVANDEEP BANSAL, CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT

Pavandeep joined Buccaneer in August 2021. Pavandeep previously worked at the Royal Albert Hall as a Management Accountant and worked on various Hospitality and Merchandise settlements such as Cirque Du Soleil, Teenage Cancer Trust, BBC Proms, Kylie Minogue and Eric Clapton. Pavandeep also worked on Co-Production settlements with promoters such as Raymond Gubbay and English National Ballet on projects like Swan Lake, Cinderella and Space Spectacular.


VALÉRIE MONOPOLI, INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

Valérie has extensive experience of Italian and French literature and acts as a bridge for us into European writers, IP and original content. She has worked at a number of companies including IMG/WME most recently.


Louise TAYLOR, DEVELOPMENT RESEARCHER

Louise spent time working in Drama and then Entertainment at Action Time, BBC and Granada Television culminated in a successful ten year stint within the factual department of Granada London and Manchester.

Louise produced and directed documentary singles and series for ITV, Channel 5, Discovery and A&E with filming ranging across North America, Asia, Europe and quite a lot of time in Blackpool. She was responsible for programmes within the Real Crime series, the “….from Hell” brand, Trolley Dollies, Mistresses, Household Cavalry and Britain’s Youngest Mums & Dads followed up by Britain’s Oldest Mums & Dads.

A longer than expected career break for children was to then lead into a five year writing period during which Louise co-authored and edited four successful yearly guide books “Babies & Kids in the City.”


MUIREANN PRICE, PRODUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

Muireann began her career in TV production on shows such as The Inbetweeners, before becoming an independent film producer. She co-wrote and produced her debut feature Love me till Monday, which premiered at the London Film Festival and for which she was nominated for the BFI Best British Newcomer Award. Her second feature Captain Webb was distributed worldwide by Miramax and was nominated for Best Drama at the National Film Awards. Muireann has also worked extensively in casting on films such as Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, Goodbye Christopher Robin and The Kid Who Would Be King.

Prior to Buccaneer, she worked as Head of Development at Double M Films, developing a slate of TV and film projects, as well as producing their feature The Wife And Her House Husband.
